We are a community of faith brought together by the love of Jesus.

Hi - I am Pastor Darren Anderson.  My wife Zoe and I moved to Lamont to serve as pastor in August of 2020 after 25 years serving in Alliance Churches in Viking and Leduc.  Zoe is a teacher at Lamont Elementary School.  We have three kids who are all young adults, Jamie who is married to Nick, Tim who is married to Zoe, and Erik.  I am a graduate of the University of Alberta and Taylor Baptist Seminary.  I have a passion for small church ministry in rural Alberta, enjoy travelling, soccer and hockey and cheer loudly for the Edmonton Oilers.

Our Board of Elders - these individuals are elected to three year terms to lead the church to love Jesus deeper.

Chair - Ron Morey

Treasurer - Glen Kroeker

Secretary - Dennis Budney
Member - Mark Glasman

Member - John Luimes

Our Church has been active in Lamont since 1944. Meetings began in a re-modeled funeral home. In 1947 a larger building was purchased and moved into town from Star. On August 16, 1950, the church officially incorporated as the Lamont Alliance Tabernacle with 13 charter members. The present building, which is located at the corner of 44th St. & 50th Ave was completed in 1983.  In 1992 a portable and connecting walkway were added to meet the growing need for Sunday School rooms.  In 2000 a second portable was added.   In recent years a new sanctuary was built, transforming the old sanctuary into a foyer area to allow visiting.  The church has a vision of winning, equipping, serving, and celebrating.  Pastor Darren came to Lamont in 2020, taking over pastoral ministries.

Our Logo

The Cross reminds us that Jesus is our Saviour.  "And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12 in the Bible).

The Cup teaches us that Christ is our Sanctifier.    This is a way of saying that the only way we can be right before God is Jesus  I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.  (John 15:5).

The Pitcher shows Jesus as our Healer.  Jesus created us to be whole physically, emotionally and spiritually.  "He was pierced for our transgressions; Jesus created us to be whole physically, emotionally and spiritually.  "He was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed."  (Isaiah 53:5).

The Crown is to remind us that Jesus will return as King.  " For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God."  (1 Thessalonians 4:16).
