Weekly Schedule:
Sundays
10:00 a.m. Worship Service
10:30 a.m. Children are dismissed for Children's Church and Nursery (from September to June)
Summer Services at 10:00 a.m. – no Nursery or Sunday School throughout the summer, although the rooms are available. This is from the middle of June (thereabouts), until about the middle of September...
Home Bible Studies : A number of home Bible study groups meet weekly during the school year on various weeknights and weekdays from September to June. These groups are open to new members and are beneficial as those involved receive some good teaching and build lasting friendships.*
Monthly and Occasional Events:
→ Ladies’ Fellowship*
Our Alliance Women’s group meets monthly to encourage and build up one another by enjoying a fellowship time together. Some highlights are a yearly cheesecake night, spring tea and ladies’ retreats - one in the summer (August), and one in the winter (February/March). They also engage in special projects which help overseas missionaries with gifts and financial support.
→ Men’s Ministries*
The men from the church try to have a Men's Breakfast once each month. Usually the third Saturday of each month...watch the bulletin for these. They start at 8:30am and are a good time for fellowship. The men will also try to hold a couple of special events during the year such as golf tournaments, fishing trips, and weekend retreats.
→ Youth Ministry
Youth Group is held on a Friday or Saturday evening a couple times each month (watch the calendar!).
There is also a Wednesday evening Bible study at the church from 7:00p.m. ~ 9:00p.m. It runs from September until June each year. When there is no school, there is usually no Bible Study. Contact the church if you need more information.
→ Adult Fellowship Activities*
There are occasional events geared for adults. We like to plan at least one monthly adult fellowship night!! We will get together for fellowship and play games...sometimes a board game, and sometimes outdoor games like "Capture the Flag". Adults need to have fun too! These are great stress reliever times and great times to just get together with other believers! This is very important! Please watch the bulletin for dates and times.
→ Missions Committee
Our missions committee desires to make missionaries and their prayer requests known to the congregation as we aim to make missions a priority in the church. There is a missions bulletin board posted in the foyer which provides a great deal of information on different missions around the world.
→ Bible Studies Program
This takes place at the Lamont Elementary School every Thursday afternoon during school hours. The teachers are from the Lamont Alliance Church and the community. We teach classes from grade 1 to grade 6 about the Bible, God's Love, and the way of salvation. Once a month all the classes get together for an open session of singing, puppet shows, and Bible Stories led by Lori Theune.
→ Prayer Chain
If you have something you would like others to pray about, please feel free to e-mail Joyce Rogers at elliston@telusplanet.net
or call Evelyn at 780-942-2089.
* Watch the weekly church bulletin or phone the church office for details and times.
